The true story (embellished for dramatic effect) of the murder of a troubled young girl in Canada. 

The viciousness of young teenage girls acting as a gang is chilling and captured really well. Mix in racial tensions, 'gangsa rap' culture, drugs, alcohol, and violence going too far, makes for quite a disturbing watch. 

I think 8 episodes are a few too many. The narrative seemed spun out in places. The backplot of the sister of a guy who died in the past was a little distracting at times. However the slow unfolding of the true events kept us watching to the end.
