The line is taken from a Dylan Thomas radio broadcast ‘Return Journey to Swansea‘. In the broadcast, Thomas tells of his return to Swansea in search of his former self, growing up in the town. We find him at one stage in the Kardomah Café with his friends, putting the world to rights. They talk about ‘music and poetry and painting and politics‘. They talk about ‘communism, symbolism, Bradman and Braque‘. They talk about ‘Michelangelo, ping-pong, ambition, Sibelius, and girls…‘

Much like the Clinging to the Wreckage crew used to do in the Rock & Fountain back in the day. I wonder if they ate pasties smothered in tomato sauce? Did they have a bartender called Dave, and San Francisco on the juke box? I think not. 

As previously mentioned, my aunt shared a flat with his son. 

It's also my go-to source of coffee now. After much research I find the Gower Coffee Co.'s Rhosilli Bay blend tickles my taste buds in just the right way. Made by the Luporini's, owners of the café.
