Some are more Equal

 

The first time in 64 years I noticed the difference between The South East, and Abertawe. Driving to the local Tesco for forgotten supplies, it is really very striking how clean, tidy & affluent the area around Chislehurst and Sidcup are. Leafy streets, immaculately tended. Expensive German cars in every drive, houses freshly painted & well kept. The centre of Sidcup was chalk & cheese to, for example, Neath. Again, immaculately clean, obviously thriving, lacking charity shops, Turkish barbers & budget stores. Even the Tesco looked better, all the trolleys brand new (I wonder if they rotate the old ones to stores in poorer areas?).

We really are a nation of extremes. The haves & the have nots. Everyone equal, but some more equal than others.
